Teacher Training

I'm getting set up to do some training for the teachers in my district on Wednesday. One of the items will be on blogging. We are also going to learn about Study Island, clickers, Impero and My Big Campus. I'm hoping that My Big Campus will be the jump off point for blogging in our district. It is put out by Lightspeed (Version 8) and includes a teacher area as well as a blogging area and other features. Once Version 8 is released, it will integrate with our AD and the students and teachers will use their own log in names to get going.

Day 2

Well...day 2 of my blog. I'm working on getting a program loaded on multiple computers at my school. I went to a workshop at TCEA given by Ron Squires (who did a fabulous job). It was about Visual Basic Scripting and it just made me realize that I don't know enough about that type of thing. He opened up a world of possibilities at the same time he showed me how much I need to learn. VBscript is a world unto itself and I don't know if I can wrap my head around all the different things that are involved.

What the blog is this about?

Met in Austin this week at the TCEA convention and heard a LOT about blogging. I'm trying to figure out what the blog this is all about?? Is there something about this that makes it so special and interesting? Hundreds if thousands of people now have their own blog. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
